ODF’20 will include both oral and poster sessions of invited and contributed papers, as well as several exciting plenary talks on the forefront of important topics. As the success of ODF’20 relies heavily on your contributions and participations, we encourage you to submit your manuscript and attend the conference here on the beautiful campus of National Central University.

 

The presented papers can be resubmitted and published in the ODF'20 special issue of the OPTICAL REVIEW, which is the journal of the Optical Society of Japan (OSJ). Application forms for the special issue will be distributed on site.


Requirements

Authors submitting papers to ODF’20 are required to submit electronically in PDF format a 35-word abstract and a 2 page-limit manuscript. Manuscript submissions will be opening starting from Aug. 31st, 2020 (Taipei time). The deadline for the manuscript submission is Dec. 18th, 2020 Jan. 15, 2021 (Taipei time). The notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent out via email by Mar. 15, 2021 only to the corresponding author.

A complete online submission will include the following:

  1. The completed online submission form
  2. 35-word Abstract in text format
  3. 2-page camera-ready manuscript in PDF format
  4. Copyright License Agreement

Electronic Submission: Emailed or faxed submissions will not be accommodated. Authors must fill up required information for the manuscript, including the title of the manuscript, all authors' affiliations and contact information, presentation preference, as well as a 35-word abstract. This information must be completed in English and failure to complete in its entirety will result in an unsuccessful submission. 

Copyright License Agreement: The copyright of the article published in the ODF' 20 Technical Digest is to be transferred to the National Central University (NCU) and the Optical Society of Japan (OSJ). The authors are required to agree to the copyright transfer in the online submission process.

Language: Manuscript must be prepared in English.

Student Contest: Papers competing in the student contest must have the student be the presenter and the first author of the paper.


Style Guide and Manuscript Template

The double-column, two-page manuscript should be submitted on A4 paper, single-space typed on one side. All content, including drawings, charts, photographs, equations, tables, figures, and references should be within the specified page limit.

Important Information about Preparing Your Paper: The quality of your PDF file is important as the accepted manuscripts will be published in the Technical Digest of the conference. Please verify carefully the quality of your manuscript for print and electronic publishing.

Revisions will only be accepted up until the paper submission deadline.
